In HTC desire (android system)--> settings --> Wireless & networks --> Portable Wi-Fi hotspot settings --> security: choose WPA2(AES)
then active portable wi-fi hotspot
In notebook (windows 7, win7)--> select network --> right click--> properties -->security --> set WPA2-personal (AES) and input "network security key" --> OK
